The project is situated within a high-tech urban cluster and draws inspiration from fluid architectural lines, spatial evolution, and futuristic design, while integrating the water town heritage of Hangzhou. Leveraging the natural elevation differences, cascading water features and layered water systems create a tropical resort-style landscape that blends wilderness, natural charm, and visual elegance. Progressive, multi-dimensional spatial layers provide a relaxed natural rhythm and immersive aesthetic experience within a constrained site.
Core innovation is achieved through spatial reconstruction and systematic layout. By elevating the community ground level, living floors gain improved natural light, privacy, and reduced humidity. This strategy also enables a three-dimensional spatial framework comprising underground traffic circulation, elevated landscape terraces, and residential living levels, ensuring full separation of pedestrians and vehicles while maximizing landscape utilization.
A multi-tier vertical water courtyard serves as the landscape centerpiece, connecting cascading waterfalls, constant-temperature and open-air pools, and waterfront platforms. The design draws inspiration from island resorts and woodland gardens, creating flowing water and light experiences. Tiered waterfalls and rippling surfaces enhance both acoustic and visual serenity, while gradient paving and streamlined curves form immersive waterfront areas.
Mature ancient trees form the primary landscape structure, complemented by Mediterranean and southern French native plants to create layered, evolving plant communities. Slow walking paths, viewing terraces, and waterfront lounges connect spaces at different elevations, offering panoramic views, recreational opportunities, and a resort-like atmosphere.
Through vertical expansion and three-dimensional spatial planning, the design harmonizes natural resort ambiance with modern residential functionality. It combines aesthetic innovation with practicality and living comfort, establishing a benchmark for contemporary urban residential landscapes and offering a reference model for integrating ecological, functional, and experiential qualities in limited urban sites.
