Xmarkdown | Awentar Ring

Awentar Ring is a wearable AI interface designed to create a calmer relationship between humans and technology.

Unlike traditional smart wearables that rely on screens, notifications, and constant attention, the project explores a softer and lower-interruption interaction model. Users interact with digital services through subtle touch-based gestures using an embedded NFC-enabled wooden ring.

The device combines handcrafted natural materials with lightweight AI interaction, allowing users to access personalized reflections, digital identity features, and social connectivity through simple physical interaction.

Designed around the concept of “Knock on Wood,” the project investigates how future AI products can feel emotionally gentle, materially warm, and visually quiet within everyday life.

Key features include:

* Handcrafted wooden wearable
* Embedded NFC interaction
* AI-guided daily reflections
* Lightweight social connection
* Minimal screen dependency
* Human-centered interaction design

Awentar Ring was exhibited internationally at CES and the Beijing International Science and Technology Expo in 2026.
