“Artificial Bloom” is an avant-garde couture project exploring the relationship between structure, distortion, and artificial beauty through sculptural fashion design.
The garment combines restrictive corsetry with expanding organic forms, creating a silhouette that appears unstable and continuously evolving around the body. Layers of translucent fabric were manipulated into exaggerated floral structures, transforming softness into something excessive and unfamiliar.
Rather than functioning as decorative fashion, the piece treats clothing as spatial composition. Volume, proportion, and material tension are used to challenge conventional ideas of silhouette and femininity, allowing the body to become partially concealed beneath sculptural growth.
The oversized headpiece extends the figure beyond natural proportion, creating a presence suspended between garment, object, and performance. Influenced by avant-garde fashion and installation aesthetics, “Artificial Bloom” investigates how fashion can operate as an emotional and visual environment rather than purely wearable design.
