The design concept "One Beijing Spirit, More Auspicious Patterns" aims to epitomize, revitalize, and add color to the essence of Beijing.
This project combines Beijing’s distinct color palette with traditional auspicious patterns to create a new vibrant space throughout the facility, specifically resonating with its target audience—trend-conscious youth.
Located in "Wangfujing Commercial District", the birthplace of commerce in China and a prime commercial area in Beijing, the site is prominently visible from Chang'an Avenue, the city's most important east-west arterial road.
This project, which injects modern vitality into Beijing's political hub, also preserves and innovates the spirit of a long-established international commercial district, earning considerable government attention and support.
The design is inspired by a critical factor in Beijing's Urban configuration methodology: the ancient and widely embraced philosophy of "Five Directions and Five Phases". It uses the key colors of blue, red, yellow, white, and black. These colors are used to modernize the "auspicious patterns" that have deep roots in Beijing’s rich culture, aligning with the merchandise design of each floor, developing each floor's design.
The most iconic and important main atrium, that captivates many visitors, features monochrome palette of black and white as its base colors and continuously clear and untainted flowing water, which symbolize the removal of misfortunes, is an emblem of "auspicious pattern", featuring gently curving water patterns that complement the open space design.
The design incorporates a flowing water motif, characterized by its soft curves that convey tranquility, perfectly complementing the open structure of the atrium.
