Elegant Luxury

The project Elegant Luxury, located in Linkou, New Taipei City, is a refined residence thoughtfully crafted by the YUAN CHEN INTERIOR DESIGN team, led by Michelle & Joy. Guided by the core concept of “stripping away superficiality and returning to the essence of life,” the design seeks to create an introspective, graceful, and poetically modern living environment. An open-plan layout connects the living room, dining area, and glass-enclosed study, breaking down traditional boundaries to emphasize the fluid relationship between people, space, light, and materials—cultivating a spatial atmosphere where freedom and serenity coexist.

Materiality plays a central narrative role throughout the interior. The designers chose a palette of sintered stone, system cabinetry, stone panels, and expansive textured stone walls to highlight a dialogue between natural tactility and geometric clarity. In the living room, vertically cut stone panels with concealed lighting extend the visual height of the space while establishing a tranquil, grounded backdrop. The study, encased in large glass partitions, is seamlessly integrated into the layout, preserving visual continuity while enhancing both openness and natural light. In the dining area, a continuous marble-patterned feature wall extends horizontally, reinforcing spatial breadth and unifying the tones of furniture and flooring in material and chromatic harmony.

The color scheme revolves around warm ivory and soft grays, accented with touches of metallic luster and black mirrored surfaces to evoke a calm aesthetic with subtle warmth. Furniture features gentle curves that echo the fluidity of the overall spatial lines, while warm-toned accents in the rugs—like ink washes—introduce emotional vibrancy into the otherwise composed ambiance. Meticulous attention to detail in proportions, textures, and lighting brings the design’s calm sophistication to life.

Elegant Luxury is more than a stylistic blend of form and beauty—it is a statement of lifestyle. It reimagines the home as an emotional vessel, where residents are invited to experience the quiet passage of time and the authenticity of daily life. Through restrained gestures, perceptive design, and humanistic care, the designers have envisioned an ideal blueprint for modern living.
