The Bay No. 8 is located in Kunming, Yunnan. It is the only high-rise lakeside luxury residence along Huanhu East Road, offering spectacular Dian lake ‘s view and well-established infrastructure.The project is 241㎡, positioned as an upgraded luxury residence, serving as a benchmark living space for the new generation of high-net-worth individuals.

We took advantage of the building’s non-shear-wall interior layout and focused on the lifestyle of young residents, breaking away from traditional spatial layout. Adopting a “4-to-1 > 4n” design concept, the original four-bedroom unit is reconfigured into a spacious one-bedroom home, simplifying the space while adding more functionalities. This approach not only creates flexibility for the space but also reserves greater adaptability for the future, allowing the space to evolve alongside the residents’ life stages. It accommodates intergenerational living and provides a sustainable path for future changes.

The open-plan design of the living room, dining room, and kitchen uses grey and white wood tones characterizes an elegant and serene ambiance. Brass metal elements evoke a sense of luxury and prestige. The feature wall, crafted from panda white marbles, elevating the aesthetic sensibilities, showcasing refined living through attention to detail.

The kitchen and dining area are arranged in a linear layout, featuring a central island. Panoramic glass doors ensure ample natural light, enhancing the airiness of the entire area. The interaction between the living room and balcony brings the outdoor views of Dian Lake inside, expanding the visual perspectives and softening the boundaries of the space. The master bedroom includes a floating bed, adding a sense of fluidity to the modern minimalist design. Separate walk-in closets for men and women cater to the distinct needs of different individuals, ensuring privacy and convenience without interference.
