This project interprets the spirit of Shanghai through soft furnishings, with "Magnolias Blooming: A Garden of Poetry" as its central theme. It blends Oriental aesthetics and international lifestyle, using art, natural materials, and craftsmanship to create a cohesive yet distinctive home. The design draws inspiration from local culture, such as Wang Zhixin’s entrance painting of magnolias and reflective water, paired with natural stone and sculptural vases to evoke Oriental romance. Key features include a magnolia-inspired coffee table, leather-carved sofa, and thematic installations that flow seamlessly across all floors, uniting private and public areas. Public zones, including the entrance hall, living room, and dining room, emphasize social interaction and family rituals, while private areas—bedrooms, mezzanine art salon, and underground wine cellar—balance personal comfort, leisure, and functionality. Materials span Brazilian Pandora luxury stone, European gold-veined stone, burl wood, mother-of-pearl, smoky quartz, artisanal glass, and metal etching, enhancing texture, light reflection, and visual richness. Technologies, such as constant-temperature wine storage, 360-degree omnidirectional sound in the mezzanine, and high-end appliances, integrate daily functionality with refined living standards. Every space harmonizes aesthetics and practicality: the combined Chinese-Western kitchen, mini bar, open cloakroom, and water bar support both daily life and entertaining. Atmospheric details—from custom chandeliers, luxury stone surfaces, and handcrafted chairs to crystal inlays and brass accents—convey elegance and warmth. Outdoor and service areas, including courtyard seating and organized storage, ensure comfort and convenience throughout the home. Overall, the design achieves a poetic narrative where artistic innovation, material sophistication, spatial functionality, and cultural symbolism converge, creating a home that is both visually compelling and practically enriching, fully reflecting the owner’s lifestyle and appreciation for art.
