Nestled in the picturesque Lin’an, Hangzhou—an area renowned as the ancient capital of the Southern Song Dynasty and the birthplace of Qian Liu, the founding monarch of the Wuyue Kingdom—this project draws deeply from its rich historical and natural surroundings. The design embodies the concept of “Mountain and Water Sanctuary,” artfully blending contemporary Oriental elegance with distinctive local cultural symbols.Consequently, the result is an exclusive clubhouse that not only harmonizes with nature but also evokes a profound sense of spiritual depth. As they journey through the space, they experience seamless transitions that intertwine elements of history, nature, and modern design, creating an engaging narrative that resonates with each visitor.
The elevator hall exudes elegance, featuring a palette of warm beige materials, enhanced by exquisite bead-shaped waistline details that symbolize good fortune and prosperity. As one moves through the space, the gently curved wall edges create a soft, flowing rhythm, inviting visitors to experience a sense of calm and comfort. Transitioning into the sunken lounge area, the attention to detail is evident. Here, an L-shaped seating arrangement seamlessly aligns with the tranquil water's surface, while concealed lighting casts a gentle glow, evoking a feeling of lightness and fluidity. This deliberate design choice draws guests in, encouraging them to relax and enjoy their surroundings. Central to this space is the water bar island, masterfully sculpted from Shangri-La stone and elegantly positioned beneath a skylight. This feature allows natural daylight to flood the area, where the interplay of rippling water and shifting light creates a mesmerizing effect—much like a poetic landscape pulled from the verses of Lin Bu. Moreover, the swimming pool area serves as a stunning homage to traditional artistry. Inspired by the ancient painting "Travelers Among Mountains and Streams" and infused with the serene hues of celadon porcelain, the walls are designed with the “three-distance composition” in mind. At the pool's base, the carefully chosen stone resembles scattered jade, appearing as if it drifts gracefully within the water, capturing the ethereal beauty of classic landscape paintings and inviting all who enter to immerse themselves in this harmonious retreat.
