ILLU is an animated promotional piece created to launch and amplify the presence of the new Cirque du Soleil spectacle across Europe. Commissioned through the Andorran agency Aymara, this work translates the visual identity of the event poster into a compelling motion experience that bridges traditional animation, motion graphics and 3D techniques.

Rather than a simple adaptation of static artwork, ILLU reimagines the original event poster as a living, kinetic system. Hand-drawn sequences, layered 3D elements and expressive graphic motion interact seamlessly, creating an immersive visual narrative that evokes the magic, energy and theatrical spectacle inherent to Cirque du Soleil. The piece animates textures, forms and colours extracted from the original event identity, allowing them to evolve, collide and transform in a rhythm that mirrors the emotional arc of the show’s storytelling.

The result is a promotional animation that not only communicates information about the event, but embodies the spirit of wonder and spectacle that Cirque du Soleil delivers live.
