Created for the National Palace Museum’s 2026 Lunar New Year stamping event, this key visual transforms horse imagery and auspicious artifacts from the museum’s collection into a festive design language. Inspired by traditional Chinese paper-cutting and seasonal print culture, the poster features a forward-riding mascot symbolizing “taking the lead” into the new year. The design also incorporates forms inspired by National Palace Museum treasures, including the Jadeite Cabbage, the Turquoise-Inlaid Bronze Zun in the Shape of a Sacrificial Animal, and the Ru Ware Celadon Lotus-Shaped Bowl Warmer. These are combined with auspicious motifs such as floral scrolls, pomegranates, persimmons, linked-coin patterns, and the character Fu (fortune). A vivid red-and-green palette creates a joyful, culturally rich, and internationally accessible Lunar New Year image.
