Daylight of Treasure Lake

Nantou is the only county in Taiwan that is not connected to the coast, and the plate movement in this area has created valleys and lakes. Inspired by this, the project reproduces the lines of flowing water eroding the valleys on the walls, intertwining with the imagery of the mountains. Nature has magnificently sculpted arcs and straights. The design team extended the curved surfaces in the space to transform the rhythm of the straight lines, presenting a comfortable and open scene.

For the color scheme, earthy-tone materials cover the interior. The mirrors are compared to a clear lake, and the layers of the ceiling are like mountain ranges. In the city of the basin surrounded by mountains and water, indirect lighting from the panels illuminates the space like daylight, connecting it to the earth. The warmth of the Treasure Lake and the harmony of sunlight create a beautiful everyday life, hence the name of the project, "Daylight of Treasure Lake".
