This case involves the renovation and planning of a medieval residence, with an interior area of approximately 83 square meters.
In response to the homeowner's interest in mountain climbing, a blend of "mountain forest" imagery and Japanese minimalist style is incorporated. Through the use of natural wood textures and plain white surfaces, light and shadow are utilized to create a tranquil atmosphere. Amidst the warm yellow tones, the noise fades away, leaving a pure living environment depicted on the canvas, allowing for a subtle and serene aesthetic experience.
Taking into consideration the children's activities and the imagery of mountains and forests, the design intentionally rounds off the edges of tables and walls, incorporating them as design elements. Upon entering the space, one can feel a harmonious connection between the entrance mirror and the elements of sky, earth, and walls. Pausing to gaze carefully, one can see reflections within reflections in the mirror, creating a layered effect reminiscent of the continuous peaks and ridges of mountains and forests. Additionally, to expand the visual space, lighting strips are embedded into the original beams of the house, using light and shadow to soften the edges of beams and columns, subtly defining the dining and living rooms, and skillfully guiding the line of sight to intricately present the flow of public and private areas.
Inheriting the warm and simple design style of the public domain, using wooden tones to construct the spatial theme, deepening the visual layers, and at the same time using cabinet doors and handles to shape a mix of thick and delicate lines, outlining a touch of vitality in a tranquil atmosphere, waiting for the homeowner to rediscover peaceful moments amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
