The site is a 20-year-old house serving a family of four. In its original state, it was outdated and poorly lit. The name “Reflux” represents the key point of the project. The designers used arcs of light and shadow to realize the concept of a canopy for the renovation of a 20-year-old house, including the first floor and basement.
“Light and Arc” emphasizes the harmonious integration of light and flow. Natural light from the front yard illuminates the interior. The rounded walls and ceilings soften the sharp corners of the interior, enhancing safety and creating a cozy atmosphere. Large floor-to-ceiling windows maximize natural light, while light-colored furniture adds softness. In addition, the S-shaped route from the outdoor yard to the indoor entrance is carefully planned to enhance the psychological and spatial experience of the occupants.
