CINEMA CELEBRATES THE OLYMPICS
In today’s world, sometimes a single letter or symbol speaks louder than words. At the heart of India’s largest cinema chain, PVR INOX, the letters ‘V’ and ‘O’ embody this power, becoming more than just motifs; they serve as a dynamic visual language that adapts with each new occasion or event, creating a fresh and memorable impact.
As an Official Sponsor of the Indian Olympic Team, and a brand that celebrates the magic of cinema on the big screen, we wanted to celebrate the Olympics in a way that was both grand and meaningful. Using our iconic letters, we crafted a unique design that transformed the ‘V’ and ‘O’ into symbols of Olympic pride—'a medallion on a neck strap'—bringing the excitement of the Games to the forefront of our brand identity. This creative visual became a centerpiece of our branding, putting the Olympics in the spotlight within our cinematic universe in a playful yet inspiring way; cheering Team India and Indians everywhere.
Throughout the Olympics, our brand film and animations featuring our‘V’ and ‘O’ emblem appeared on over 1,800 large screens across our theaters, spreading the energy and excitement of the Games and promoting the Olympic spirit. We also hosted a special Sports Movie Festival and ran engaging promotions, inviting audiences to participate in the celebration through activities like ticket giveaways and special screenings.
With each visual and event, PVR INOX reinforced its commitment to storytelling, connecting cinema and sport to inspire and bring people together on a grand scale.
