The lighting program takes “one principle axis, two cores and three regions" as the starting point: revolving around the principle axis, conduct in-depth specific content in accordance with the theme; exploit Huitong Pool and the apex Chengzhitang as medium to advance the formation of the content, and sublimate the night atmosphere of the entire park; three regions, major entrance area, Yan’an Spirit exhibition area and track for learning, are taking into account to display regional characteristics by utilizing distinct lighting design.

Themed as “Guanghui Gujin”, it renders the audience an excellent experience across time and space by taking advantage of light art. The ancient Wu Yun culture stands for a treasure of Chinese civilization, and the essence has been passed down for thousands of years. During the night, the water, clouds, mountains, stones, flowers, and birds in Jiangnan area become the protagonists under the background of the lights, and people are able to feel a deep sense of cultural heritage, a wonderful sensation of entwining themselves with nature.

Through the process of designing the content, lighting perceives the arduous journey with digital technology. Combined with holographic projection, MR, VR, AR and other multiple design methods, the most vivid approach of expression as well as content innovation, it supports people nationwide understanding and remembering history, along with inheriting Yan'an spirit.

Among them, the design of aquatic show is a five-starred red flag, each corner of which is composed of 56 water columns, representing 56 nationalities. In the center of each petal, a group of pigeon pattern is set up, and the pigeon symbolizes peace. The petals show the shape of a five-pointed star, and the water-shaped color is principally colorful, reflecting the diverse culture of various ethnic groups. The water curtain projection, with stories about A Xi and A Fu, takes people into the scene, and tells the historical story of Wuxi's arduous journey, making the audience realize how happy the current life remains.
