The design is inspired by the "Cup," a symbol of dialogue across time and space. The most famous item on display -- The horn cup with Hun (ancient nomadic people who lives in Central Asia ) witnessed the vibrant market between the East and West in ancient Sichuan. Cups are also used in festivals and gatherings, symbolizing celebration and aspirations. The Museum, like a cup, represents connection, communication and celebration.

We employ computer programming to reinterpret cultural relics, utilizing a program that extracts image brightness and transforms cultural relic photographs into abstract paintings inspired by paper cutting and window decorations. These unique patterns have been integrated into a collection of small cultural and creative products, including stationery, clothing, and everyday items, combining historical charm with a minimalist and fashionable aesthetic.

For our wayfinding system, we have incorporated folded metal sheets that harmonize with the architectural design of the new museum. By laser-engraving cultural relic patterns onto these metal sheets, they are transformed into artistic pieces that serve not only as wayfinding signs but also as iconic embellishments within the square.

Expanding from the museum's logo, we have developed a series of modular products. The museum logo cup consists of two interchangeable parts that can be assembled to create different utensils, allowing for personalized and versatile usage.

In addition, we have envisioned diverse applications of digital technology for the Sichuan University Museum. The virtual museum features VR exhibition halls, virtual stages, interactive lighting, and more, facilitating a dynamic and immersive display of exhibits. Furthermore, we have designed a virtual classroom where students can engage with cultural relics and their contextual backgrounds through an immersive experience. Breaking the constraints of physical space, this virtual classroom employs virtual reality technology, enabling students from different schools and regions to collaborate and interact within the same environment, fostering knowledge-sharing and exchange of experiences.
