An unexpected challenge – a creative agency needing its own brand.
To gain the trust of any business needing your services, you better ensure you’re nailing them in your own backyard. In efforts to expand service outreach, our own agency, RLD Creative, needed to have a face. A voice. A personality. The obstacles were two-fold: create a standout identity that is confident, competent, and memorable. Second, build a brand that is simultaneously bold and still provides a space where client works are displayed and applauded without interference.
Our solution created purposeful restraint with pops of expression. The product displays where precision and skill meets personality – where Swiss Style meets Pop Art. The color palette is limited to white, black and a trademark red for impact. Photography, with exceptions, is desaturated. A subtle halftone pattern is mixed throughout. Typography is as expected for the thesis: sans serif, bold and mostly lowercase. The aim is to be unmistakable in identity while never quite shouting. Freehand elements in the webspace cultivate a “person first” atmosphere that the agency demands be ever-present. Business-2-Business? Nay. People-2-People.
The final branding extends from web presence to social media in the digital realm. It occupies internal resource material and all external decks, documents and communications. RLD holds a high standard for itself, demonstrating the same mission statement for its clients – past, present, and future.
