Hutoushan Innovation Hub

utoushan Innovation Hub was a military barracks. It has been in existence for about half a century, and the condition and structure of the buildings are in a state of disrepair. The design team combined the relationship between humanities and the environment to preserve many historical memories and traces and optimize the exterior landscape and buildings to re-establish a clean, green, and spacious innovation hub to serve the public and startup businesses.

The project retains green space and original plants on the site. All the shrubs and trees are preserved. The drainage system and circulation plan have been optimized to attract people and promote the development of the surrounding area. There are three startup offices, a café, and the Commander's Hall, which reveals the history. The choice of materials is to reproduce the early Japanese architectural style as much as possible so that people can understand the past at a glance and look forward to the future.
