With this office building repositioning and rebranding project we explore the concept of “Deep Renovation”, where existing aged buildings are fully saved from the wrecking ball, safeguarding their precious carbon footprint, yet transformed so fully and dramatically that their original form is no longer recognizable and are fully transmogrified into a new rejuvenated buildings with forward standards of sustainability. The goal is to fundamentally question the economics and cultural impetus for demolition and tabula rasa of the existing urban fabric in the ideation, conception and creation of the future city.
