To create award-winning designs, aspiring designers should focus on understanding and empathising with their users, staying current with design trends and technologies, prioritising sustainability and ethical considerations, embracing iterative design and feedback, and cultivating creativity and innovation. By incorporating these practices, designers can enhance their work's impact and increase their chances of recognition and success.

18. Tell us something you have never told anyone else.

There's something I've never shared with anyone: the inspiration for one of my most successful design projects came from a deeply personal experience. I designed an innovative emergency response system inspired by the experiences of my late grandmother and grandfather. Both of them suffered because the delay in getting medical help worsened their conditions, a fact that left a profound impact on me.

I vividly remember the urgency of their situations and how the long wait for an ambulance contributed to their deteriorating health. This experience made me acutely aware of the flaws in emergency response systems, especially in congested urban environments. I began to think about how I could design a system that would enable emergency resources to reach those in need more swiftly.

In this project, I incorporated advanced technologies such as real-time data processing and GPS technology to create a highly efficient emergency response system. This system can quickly dispatch emergency vehicles and provide real-time updates, allowing medical facilities and responders to coordinate more effectively.

This project not only brought me success in the design world but also gave me immense satisfaction knowing that I could use my professional skills to help others. My hope is that this system can prevent other families from going through the same pain my family experienced.

This experience taught me the power and responsibility of design, showing me that it’s not just about aesthetics and functionality but about making a real impact on people’s lives. If you have any specific questions or need advice on design-related topics, feel free to ask!

19. Who has inspired you in your life and why?

The individuals who have inspired me most—Steve Jobs, Dieter Rams, and my grandmother—each brought unique lessons and perspectives that have shaped my approach to design and life. From the innovative and user-centered design philosophies of Jobs and Rams to the personal resilience and creativity of my grandmother, these inspirations have guided me in creating meaningful and impactful designs.

20. What is your key to success? Any parting words of wisdom?

Find what you love to do and pursue it relentlessly. Passion drives motivation and helps you overcome challenges. Steve Jobs famously said, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do."

Enjoy the process of working towards your goals. Success is a journey, and each step offers opportunities for growth and fulfillment. As the saying goes, "Success is not a destination, but a journey."

Use your success to make a difference in the lives of others. Contributing to your community and helping others can bring a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment.
By integrating these principles into your daily life, you can set a solid foundation for achieving your goals and discovering success in your endeavors.
