Time Wander

The project building is adjacent to the lake shore, overlooking islands and mountains, and has excellent natural scenery. The house area is about 800 square meters. The building has distinct structural characteristics, with several adjacent residential units connected to form a multi-level villa space. Compared to typical villas, single story villas have a smaller usable area and more densely packed frame beams and columns in the space. How to transform this possible "defect" into a unique and interesting spatial experience is a great challenge for designers. In terms of spatial composition, the designer strives to open up and connect public spaces as much as possible, while achieving vertical spatial communication through varied staircase spaces. Partial windows of the building have been renovated to maximize the sharing of landscape resources among indoor spaces. In the reorganized space, the stairs on different floors have undergone changes in scale, form, and material. People wander in space, and both visual and spatial experiences change and interpret with the transformation of space. The interior adopts many curved and curved design elements, making the transition of the space more natural and overall, enhancing the beauty, and enriching the changes of the space. In terms of material and color expression, the designer uses white as the main tone of the entire space, and different spaces are embellished with different bright colors according to their functions. Sometimes it is expressed as a certain material such as cabinets, metal, glass, and sometimes furniture, blankets, or wallpaper are used to express it, but they all emphasize detail expression. Soft decoration also emphasizes the use of textures of different materials to create resonance and complementarity with the surrounding environment, giving the senses a natural balance. Not only does it introduce nature into indoor spaces, but it also brings people back to nature, allowing them to appreciate the interdependence of architecture, nature, and art, and making the "dwelling place" a "self secret realm" for the body and mind.
