Centered on the concept of Pavilion of Children's Joyful Growth, this project aspires to create a comprehensive educational environment that accompanies children as they perceive the world, understand themselves, and move toward the future. Grounded in children’s real behaviors and developmental needs, the design responds to contemporary educational demands for safety, exploration, interaction, and emotional support through innovative spatial planning. By introducing the concept of a Growing Space, modular and reconfigurable furniture systems are integrated with multifunctional learning scenarios, enabling a highly adaptable and extensible environment that embodies the educational vision of “space as curriculum, building as learning.”

The overall spatial layout is systematically organized around five key dimensions of child development: cognition, emotion, social interaction, physical activity, and creativity. Beginning at the reception area, the space gradually unfolds into zones for reading, creation, performance, movement, and rest. Each functional area is clearly defined yet seamlessly connected, forming a continuous learning and experiential journey. The spatial rhythm—progressing from guidance to exploration, expression, and relaxation—helps children quickly adapt to the environment, encouraging active engagement while fostering a stable and well-structured growth experience.

Upon entering the reception area, warm and gentle colors come into view, while a welcoming and friendly atmosphere gradually unfolds, subtly dissolving unfamiliarity and establishing an initial sense of trust. Following the naturally unfolding circulation, children move into the reading area, where the space becomes quieter and changes in lighting help focus attention, allowing immersion in a reading experience shaped by text and imagery.

The handcraft display area encourages children to freely release their imagination through dismantling, reassembling, and creating. Combined with the toy recycling and transformation station, hands-on activities are closely linked with environmental education, cultivating awareness of resource conservation through direct participation.

The interest-based art zone offers a rich and layered experience. The calligraphy classroom is calm and refined; through the rhythm of brush and ink, children gain insight into the inner beauty and spiritual essence of traditional culture. Music, dance, and performance areas provide a stage for self-expression, where children move freely to rhythm and melody, gradually building confidence and a sense of achievement.
