Presto is a mobile app designed to offer personalized beauty recommendations tailored to the unique facial attributes of individuals within the LGBTQ community, particularly individuals who wish to feminize their masculine facial features, or adding artistic makeup into their everyday presentation. Utilizing AI technology, the app scans and analyzes users' facial features. Through this advanced technology, Presto provides personalized makeup recommendations to meet each user's specific needs and preferences. Furthermore, Presto seeks to promote understanding of the broader spectrum of differences between male and female facial structures through educational channels, bridging the knowledge gap and fostering inclusivity within the community.



Makeup can be a form of self-expression, allowing the LGBTQ community to showcase their creativity and style. Experimenting with different looks can empower, boost self-esteem, and make a person feel more confident in their appearance. LGBTQ individuals, especially cisgender men and transgender women, express frustration when trying to replicate artistic makeup tutorials/trends. Additionally, makeup has primarily been linked with and targeted towards women. The beauty industry often overlooks the difficulties encountered by the LGBTQ community.



When looking at the general differences in facial structure between men and women, along with societal standards of attractiveness, several key observations emerge. Feminine facial beauty tends to highlight characteristics such as a smaller forehead, larger eyes, higher arched brows, round flushed cheeks, a softened jawline, a small chin, and a slender, upturned nose.



LGBTQ individuals who wish to feminize their masculine features, or adding artistic makeup into their everyday presentation express frustration when trying to replicate makeup tutorials/trends. It becomes crucial to effectively enhance their "feminine" features while minimizing or disguising their "masculine" ones. This calls for a nuanced approach to makeup application that acknowledges and works with the unique contours of their facial structure.



Presto’s goal is to offer accessible resources and guidance that facilitate a deeper understanding of facial attributes and makeup techniques tailored to individual needs and preferences. Through education and support, Presto strives to promote self-expression and inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
