Background of the story:

When young Pi drifted by boat through Mount Olympus, he met a flytrap-Dionée with eyes and tears at the foot of the mountain.

Vénus's missing for Adonis turned into tears and flowed into a sea.

Zeus finally surrendered and named the sea the Sea of Love, surrounding the Mount Olympus.
