Design Theme: The Fusion of Southern Mountain Forests and Oriental Charm

By shaping the natural landscape of southern mountain forests and integrating it

with the essence of Oriental culture, we aim to create a space that embodies both

the beauty of natural ecology and rich cultural connotations. From the very

beginning of the design process, emphasis is placed on the unique vegetation and

topographical features of southern mountain forests, crafting a landscape space

full of depth and texture.

The owner of this project is a busy individual who loves nature and seeks

inspiration and relaxation from it. The goal is to create a space within the city

where they can experience a natural environment and integrate this natural space

into their living environment. The project is situated in an area bordered by a river,

with dense forests on the opposite bank. Before starting the design, we first

prepared the original site by improving the undergrowth and environment on the

opposite side of the river, restoring it to a forest ecosystem with aesthetically

pleasing shade-tolerant plants. The forested space across the river acts as a natural

barrier, isolating the area from noise and providing privacy. We allowed time for

the environment to grow and establish itself so that the plants will be in their best

condition when the owner moves in.

The overall design is centered around the theme of "Southern Mountain Forests"

and focuses on the following elements:

1. The Reconstruction of Southern Mountain Forests and Oriental Charm

2. The Interplay of Light, Shadow, and Time

3. Borrowed Scenery, Listening to Water, Welcoming the Wind: Resonating with

Nature

4. Waterside Architecture and Riparian Forest Restoration

5. Seasonal Changes and the Experience of Solar Terms

These elements showcase the rich Oriental charm, emphasizing the fusion of

natural ecology and living experiences to create a vibrant and humanistic

landscape space.
