Vela is an innovative electric vaginal speculum designed to improve the comfort and accessibility of gynecological exams. Traditional bivalve speculums often cause discomfort due to their lever-type opening mechanism, leading to pain and a sense of shame for many patients. Vela addresses these issues with a parallel opening design that distributes pressure evenly, reducing the risk of tearing and associated pain.

The device also allows patients to control the speed and duration of dilation via a remote control, minimizing the risk of rough handling by the doctor. This patient-centered approach enhances both physical and psychological comfort during the exam. Vela’s design, featuring soft colors and durable materials, further ensures a reassuring experience, making gynecological exams less intimidating and more patient-friendly.
