When facing rescue missions in old buildings without elevators, rescuers often encounter numerous challenges, particularly in narrow spaces such as stairwells. Extensive field research and interviews with rescuers have highlighted several key issues: stretchers face significant limitations in turning and maneuvering within old buildings; rescuers struggle to evenly distribute weight to maintain stretcher stability; and there is poor flexibility and high operational difficulty. These challenges not only increase the difficulty of the task but also consume more of the rescuers' physical strength. More critically, for patients with internal injuries or severe conditions, changes in position or jolting can lead to abnormal heart or lung rhythms, potentially causing cardiac or respiratory arrest and increasing the risk of secondary injuries.

The balenX exoskeleton kit is designed to enhance the stability of traditional stretchers. It consists of front and rear backpack-style stabilizers and a Bluetooth controller. Equipped with laser technology, the balenX ensures rapid and accurate installation and seamless alignment with various stretchers. The built-in stabilizers in the balenX maintain patient stability on the stretcher, reducing the risk of secondary injuries during transport. The kit’s gripping mechanism firmly locks the stretcher in place during transport, keeping the patient level and reducing the physical burden on rescuers. The adjustable height settings improve maneuverability, allowing rescuers to focus on patient care and navigating the environment without the added strain of manual handling, thereby enhancing overall rescue performance.

The mission of balenX is to overcome the limitations of traditional stretchers in narrow and complex terrains. The balenX exoskeleton kit not only reduces the burden on rescuers and lowers the risk of secondary injuries but also simplifies the training process for rescue personnel. Additionally, it is suitable for rescue operations in challenging environments such as natural terrains, aircraft cabins, slopes, and confined spaces, improving emergency response efficiency through safe and reliable stretcher handling.
