Inspired by the "hotel-style residences" concept, the project focuses on providing residents with a cozy and streamlined living space. The site is an old apartment, and the design deliberately avoids dark elements, opting instead for lighter tones and wood grain to effectively reduce the sense of confinement in the small space. The interplay of natural light and materials brightens the interior, with sunlight reflecting off wood grain, stone textures, and metal accents, creating a captivating effect, as if the light were dancing throughout the home.
-Smoothness in a Small Space: The designer enhanced the aesthetic by simplifying elements. First, functional cabinets were cleverly hidden within the structure, with rounded transitions to maintain the flow of the space. Then, the wall behind the sofa was covered in a special gray paint to create an industrial style. The wall was complemented by recessed lighting, which directed visual attention to the wall, adding layers to the space.
-Creating a Bright Outlook: Facing the challenge of a ceiling height of only 260 cm, the designer installed a concealed air conditioning unit within the recessed structure, making the space appear cleaner and more streamlined. The original two large rooms were also modified, with one converted into a walk-in closet, and glass partitions were used to increase the space's functionality and visual appeal.
