The issue of refugees has always been a hot topic globally. There are currently 43.4 million refugees in the world, with children making up 40 percent of the global refugee population. Most of them still live in fear of violence, landmines and explosive remnants of war, and will spend their entire childhood in displacement. We wanted to design a toy for them that would repair the damage caused by war and bring them joy. Considering the special environment of refugee camps, the toys need to be as useful as possible and locally sourced as much as possible. So we chose the material boxes used by the UNHCR to deliver supplies to the refugee camps, and we modified the boxes by cutting out the features of the toys in advance. In this way, after completing the task of delivering the supplies, we provided them to the children in the refugee camps, who could then make the toys with their own hands through simple modifications, such as tearing, folding, assembling, etc., and through assembling and other operations. This not only facilitates the transport of toys and makes full use of the material boxes, but also fills the gap of the children's lack of entertainment, bringing them joy and satisfaction and repairing the psychological damage caused by the war. In terms of the image of the toys, as the first batch of toys, we chose animal images with affinity and healing, but the refugee problem is a complex and serious problem, the solution of the refugee problem and humanitarian care for refugees is a long-term work, the image of the material box transformation toys will be constantly enriched and upgraded, and more animal images or even images of transport vehicles, plants and other images will be introduced, to bring the children in the refugee camps Happiness.
