This villa is a six-story building. The owner is a single actress who primarily works in film and musical theater. She has a wide range of interests and hobbies. The goal is to reasonably divide the functionality of each floor, while emphasizing both convenience and the artistic and feminine qualities of the space. The six-story building is conceptualized as a growing tree. The bottom two floors represent the roots, while the above-ground levels symbolize the trunk, branches, leaves, fruit, and buds. Each part of the tree is abstracted to represent the form and material expression of each floor. For example, the resin handrails on the basement level are inspired by the roots of tropical rainforest trees submerged in water. The pink marble in the bedroom and bathroom on the fifth floor is meant to symbolize the flowers at the top of the tree. Since many designs were original, there were numerous challenges in the initial model-making and custom mold creation. For instance, ensuring the safety and stability of the branch-shaped handrails, as well as fabricating and installing the stone countertops, presented difficulties. These technical issues were ultimately resolved through a combination of digital and artisanal craftsmanship. The materials were chosen to reflect the theme of "growth." In the villa’s underground areas, materials like stone or artistic coatings that mimic stone were primarily used. For example, in the art studio and dance room on the second basement level, polyester materials were used to create a rock-like effect on the walls, representing the raised layers of underground rock, while reducing the weight on the walls. The kitchen island and garden areas on the first basement level were made using leftover marble materials, which were recycled and transformed into terrazzo. In the bathrooms, preserved moss was utilized.
