A LEATHER, a Japanese leather fashion brand, has prepared this press release kit for an exhibition in France. The brand's policy is to use only meat-derived hides and to manufacture everything from tanning to dyeing and sewing to high quality by traditional Japanese craftsmen. To convey this spirit, the theme of the exhibition was “Nigimitama - Blessings of Nature Spirits of Japan,” and the motif was sumo wrestling, which is not only a sport in Japan but also revered as a Shinto ritual. The exhibition is a reproduction of the ancient Japanese game of paper sumo, in which sumo wrestlers compete against each other, and is composed of visuals of former sumo wrestlers wearing A LEATHER fashions as models.
