Feng Shui, translating to "the way of wind and water," is a philosophy centered on arranging buildings, objects, and spaces to create an unobstructed flow of energy, fostering harmony, balance, and equilibrium. At Yakimo, this timeless philosophy forms the foundation of its architectural concept.
The five elements of Feng Shui are meticulously integrated into the design:
Earth is represented by rustic flooring materials, including cast cement and terrazzo.
Fire is embodied in the kitchen’s strategic placement and the striking red accents that define it.
Water emerges through the reflective surfaces of mirrors.
Wood and
Metal are expressed through the predominant architectural materials.
These elements are united by soft, curvilinear lines, thoughtfully designed to facilitate the seamless flow of energy throughout the space. The result is an architecture that not only enriches the unique gastronomic experience of blending Japanese and Peruvian cuisine but also resonates deeply with the client’s philosophy, creating a holistic and meaningful environment.
