The design takes inspiration from traditional Song-dynasty paintings and architectural elements such as the “board eaves,” “curved curtain poles,” “wind shelters,” and “flying eaves,” translating them into modern forms that retain their delicate beauty and elegance. This thoughtful approach pays homage to the refined, sophisticated spirit of the Song dynasty while creating a harmonious living environment for today’s lifestyle.

The project explores the subtleties of Song aesthetics, characterized by simplicity and purity, which resonate deeply with contemporary ideals of living beauty. Key design principles such as “clear and natural” reflect the purity and elegance of Song aesthetics, while “delicate and refined” embodies the meticulous craftsmanship of traditional Song architecture. The architectural elements also include the “grand simplicity” seen in the design’s minimalism, which draws a direct connection between the calm, restrained nature of Song art and modern sensibilities. These elements combine to evoke the elegance of Song poetry and paintings, offering both an aesthetic experience and an invitation to a lifestyle steeped in cultural refinement.

The main entrance of the project adopts a symmetrical axial layout with three ceremonial sequences, integrating multiple Song-inspired elements to convey the warmth, elegance, and subtlety inherent in the Song period. By incorporating high-quality materials, the design embodies both luxury and the refined beauty of the Song dynasty. The striking rooflines with their upward-curved eaves, complemented by golden accents and a golden ratio in the building’s proportions, create a distinctive, highly recognizable silhouette. Large, floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive, angled corners allow for panoramic views, while the high-transparency, low-reflection glass curtain walls minimize visual impact on surrounding buildings, enhancing the spacious feel of the development.

Additionally, the design emphasizes custom details such as the lattice screens derived from the intricate Ba Da patterns, carefully reconstructed to achieve the optimal transparency. The proportions of the entrance doorframes are precisely controlled, resulting in a harmonious and refined overall composition. This project exemplifies the fusion of traditional and modern, creating a space where Song dynasty elegance and modern luxury coexist in perfect harmony.
