Resting Memories

The site is a new apartment aptly named "Resting Memories," symbolizing the home as a haven in life. The designer embraced the theme of "Life's Commas," using grilles, contrasting colors, and diverse materials to create a comforting and relaxing ambiance. Clearly themed areas are interconnected with horizontal and vertical lines, offering a seamless transition akin to "island hopping" through life's journey. This design integrates functionality and aesthetics, allowing each family member to build cherished memories and unique experiences.



Key Features:



The Comma as a Connector:

Ceiling beams with wooden grilles delineate boundaries, visually and functionally zoning spaces. For example, wooden grilles at the entrance extend to the dining room ceiling, paired with black paint and leather-wrapped decorative panels for a layered effect. The open-plan study and living room blend murals with gray mirrors and brass metallic paint, creating an artistic and luxurious modern style.



The Comma as an Extension:

Life's chapters evolve, reflected in color accents that add depth. Social areas feature dark wood veneer and black paint, contrasted with gray-white and metallic highlights for rich dimensionality. In the private space, the master bedroom's headboard combines fair-faced wood veneer and artistic faux-paint with black rabbet lines for a serene and refined aesthetic.
