Together,Stronger-Projection Mapping Show of National Day

Since its debut in 2017, the Presidential Office Building Projection Mapping Show has drawn hundreds of thousands of people both from Taiwan and abroad every year, becoming one of the most popular events during Taiwan’s National Day celebrations. Through the Presidential Office Building, a historical landmark with over a century of history, the show integrates architectural features, motion designs, lighting designs, and dynamic soundscapes to tell Taiwan's story and shine a light on Taiwan. With a different theme each year, It creates memorable moments that belong to Taiwan alongside the public.



The 2024 National Day Presidential Office Building Projection Mapping Show is themed “Together, Stronger”. This year coincides with the centennial of Yeh Hong-Chia, the creator of Taiwan’s first superhero comic, Jhuge Shiro. As a tribute to this legendary comic artist and a showcase of the creative power of a new generation of comic artists, the 10-minute show takes the form of a projection mapping musicals, featuring 42 original Taiwanese comic and animation works, reviving cross-century classic characters and guiding the audience through the development of Taiwan's comic scene over the past fifty years. It highlights the creative energy of Taiwanese comics.

Musically, the performance reimagines the nostalgic essence of comics through hip-hop, blending tradition with contemporary soundscapes. Additionally, the show features renowned Taiwanese voice actors and the beloved children’s television character Granny Fruity, who provides engaging narration synchronized with the animations, fully immersing the audience in the world of comics.

Together, Stronger brings together Taiwan’s cross-disciplinary artists to enhance the country’s cultural power, transforming the Presidential Office Building into a grand outdoor theater. This fusion of tradition and innovation captivates hundreds of thousands of spectators from Taiwan and abroad, enriching the National Day festivities with artistic vibrancy and cultural foundation.
