The Casa Di Luce Hotel embodies a sophisticated fusion of modern luxury and natural simplicity, drawing deeply from the breathtaking scenery of the Tremiti Islands. Every detail of the design celebrates the islands’ inherent beauty, while also embracing the distinctive geometry of the historic lighthouse at its core. The hexagonal shape of the lighthouse becomes a key design element, appearing repeatedly throughout the hotel, both in its spatial planning and in the intricate motifs found across various spaces. This geometric influence is subtle yet present, providing continuity and a sense of cohesion in the hotel's overall aesthetic. Drawing further inspiration from the island’s verdant pine forests, the shape of pine needles has been abstracted into patterns that are artfully woven into the hotel’s décor, adding a layer of connection between the building’s interior and the natural environment that surrounds it.

The design of the hotel balances the elegance of modernity with a reverence for traditional forms and materials, while also incorporating the dynamic, effortless style of Italian design. This harmonious blend of influences creates a space that feels both timeless and current, offering guests a refined yet inviting atmosphere. Rooted in the concept of providing a tranquil, exclusive retreat, Casa Di Luce is a place where guests can immerse themselves in the panoramic views of the ocean, the fragrant scent of pine trees, and the quiet, historic charm of the lighthouse. The hotel is designed not just to provide physical comfort, but to deepen the connection between its guests and the natural and cultural beauty of the Tremiti Islands. It is a place that evokes a sense of home, yet it feels as unique and special as the landscape itself.

Upon entering Casa Di Luce, guests are immediately enveloped in a welcoming atmosphere that seamlessly blends natural elements with refined elegance. The entryway, the first point of contact with the hotel, exudes calm and tranquility, effectively setting the tone for the experience to follow. The color palette is soft and organic, with hues of beige, sand, and green evoking the natural beauty of the island’s coastline. These colors not only recall the surrounding landscape but create a serene, coastal ambiance where the indoors and outdoors merge. The flooring continues this theme, transitioning effortlessly from exterior to interior with limestone paving accented by chevron-patterned travertine stone. This thoughtful touch helps establish continuity and flow, enhancing the guest's sense of connection to the environment.

The interior design of the entryway includes thoughtful, rotating pieces of art that add a dynamic layer to the space, ensuring that the experience feels fresh and engaging with each visit. A striking floral arrangement at the center adds vibrancy and life, offering a warm welcome to each guest. The balance between the subtle elegance of the natural materials and the dynamic energy of the changing artwork and floral displays speaks to the hotel's philosophy of creating an experience that is both grounded in tradition and alive with modern energy.

The reception area is a serene, intimate space that is carefully designed to put guests at ease. Here, natural forms meet refined materials, with the reception desk itself being a work of art. Crafted from smooth, honed marble, the desk mirrors the organic shapes found along the island’s coastline. The folded, half-hexagonal metal screen behind the reception, featuring rippling fins, serves as a visual reminder of the lighthouse’s iconic form, while also introducing a modern touch. The carpeted floor adds warmth and softness, making the space feel more like a luxurious living room than a formal hotel lobby. Adjacent to the reception desk is a cozy seating area, where guests can relax in a plush armchair upholstered in deep ocean blue fabric. The rich color of the chair contrasts beautifully with the neutral tones that dominate the space, creating an inviting and calming environment where guests can begin to unwind as soon as they arrive.

Moving through the hotel, the hotel suites provide an intimate and calming retreat for guests, where the interplay of natural light, organic textures, and thoughtfully curated design elements come together to create a truly luxurious experience. The suites’ color palette, like the rest of the hotel, is inspired by the natural surroundings. Soft beige walls, evocative of the sandy beaches, serve as a neutral backdrop, allowing the room’s green accents—reminiscent of the island’s pine forests—to stand out. These green tones are found in lacquered wall panels that shift in hue from the headboard area, adding a touch of elegance and visual interest. Beneath it all lies a deep blue, textured rug, to mimic the movement of ocean waves. The rich blue provides a striking contrast to the room’s lighter tones, while its texture adds a layer of tactile comfort, ensuring the space feels as inviting as it looks. A continuous seating area runs along the window, providing the perfect spot to relax and take in the views of the surrounding landscape.

The bathroom's overall aesthetic is refined, blending modern design with traditional craftsmanship to create a space that feels both elegant and timeless. Hexagonal and triangular geometries play a subtle role throughout the space. The primary materials used are natural, with travertine stone cladding much of the room, while pops of color, like the striking Calacatta turquoise accents, add vibrancy and character.

Stepping onto the rooftop terrace, guests are greeted with unobstructed, panoramic views of the surrounding islands and the vast ocean. This terrace serves as the crown jewel of the hotel, offering a luxurious outdoor space where guests can unwind and reconnect with nature. The design centers around a large, comfortable seating area arranged around a cozy fire pit, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying a peaceful evening under the stars. Potted plants and planters are thoughtfully placed throughout the space, adding greenery and softening the architectural lines. The lighting on the terrace is kept soft and ambient, allowing the natural beauty of the night sky to take center stage. The terrace is designed to accommodate both quiet reflection and social gatherings, making it a versatile space where guests can enjoy the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves below.

The outdoor area surrounding the hotel is no less impressive, with the infinity pool as its focal point. The pool’s design stretches toward the horizon, seamlessly blending with the ocean beyond, creating an illusion of endless water. Around the pool, plush daybeds offer the perfect spot for guests to bask in the sun or relax under oversized umbrellas. Adjacent to the pool is an elegant outdoor dining area, where guests can enjoy alfresco meals while taking in the beautiful views. At night, the space is softly illuminated by lanterns and ambient lighting, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere ideal for evening dining. A dedicated lounge seating area near the pool provides an additional space for relaxation, separated just enough to offer a sense of privacy.

The entire outdoor space is surrounded by lush, native landscaping that enhances the natural beauty of the hotel’s location. The Casa Di Luce Hotel is more than just a place to stay—it is an experience, designed to enhance and reflect the natural and cultural beauty of the Tremiti Islands. The thoughtful blend of modern luxury, traditional design elements, and a deep respect for the environment ensures that every guest will leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and truly connected to the magic of the location.
