Hota is an innovative mobile app that empowers first-time gardeners by providing bespoke plant bed designs through an intuitive, AI-driven process. Developed in partnership with Spinning Fox, Hota makes garden design approachable and enjoyable by guiding users step by step—helping them create beautiful, thriving outdoor spaces.

Users begin by entering key details such as garden dimensions, sunlight exposure, soil type, and personal style preferences. Drawing on this information, Hota’s AI—trained on expert horticultural knowledge—produces tailored planting recommendations perfectly suited to the user’s unique conditions.

A standout feature is real-time garden mapping, which enables users to interactively visualise their personalised planting plan. The app also includes detailed plant care guidance and purchase options, equipping users with everything they need to bring their gardens to life.

Working closely with Hota’s founders, Spinning Fox delivered a high-fidelity prototype in just six weeks. This collaborative sprint resulted in a user-friendly, elegant interface that demystifies garden planning and supports users at every stage of their journey.

Since launch, Hota has cultivated a growing social media community of eager early adopters—demonstrating both demand and enthusiasm for a tool that bridges the gap between technology and gardening know-how.

Hota is more than a garden design app—it’s a confidence-building tool for beginners, transforming uncertainty into creativity and helping people reconnect with the natural world.
