Let's Go! Huwei Dream Express-2025 Children's Carnival

To celebrate Children’s Day in 2025, the Huwei Township Office in Yunlin County hosted a grand event titled “Let’s Go! Huwei Dream Express” on March 29 . This one-of-a-kind carnival embraced the spirit of imagination and joy, creating a magical space where children’s dreams could take flight.



The event featured five signature highlights: cultural performances, interactive play zones, local and international gourmet food stalls, professional cosplay, and colorful street shows. More than 20 vendors served Taiwanese and global snacks, while 25 cosplayers and 15 street performers energized the venue with vibrant costumes, games, and live art.



A cultural centerpiece was a high-energy performance by two renowned singers, accompanied by two professional cosplayers. Together, they delivered a creative show fusing traditional Taiwanese glove puppetry with contemporary pop music, paying tribute to Huwei’s legacy as the birthplace of puppet theatre and engaging audiences across generations.



Adding a warm touch, the event welcomed the Q-version mascots of Mazu and Santaizi from Huwei’s Fuan Temple. These beloved deities appeared on stage and in the parade, charming children and presenting religious heritage in a joyful, approachable way. Their presence bridged traditional beliefs with youthful celebration.



The highlight of the evening was the “Dream Express Parade”—Taiwan’s only nighttime parade dedicated to Children’s Day. Officially launched by the mayor of Huwei, the parade featured a glowing fairy tale float, whimsical decorations, music, and over 100 performers who danced and interacted with the crowd.



The event attracted over 3,000 enthusiastic participants, making it the largest Children’s Day celebration in the county. It successfully combined fun, tradition, creativity, and community spirit into a single unforgettable evening. “Let’s Go! Huwei Dream Express” not only brought smiles to children’s faces but also elevated Huwei’s cultural visibility, setting a new benchmark for inclusive and meaningful public celebrations. Its vibrant atmosphere, rich cultural programming, and unique nighttime parade drew not only local families but also visitors from neighboring townships and other counties, establishing Huwei as a must-visit destination for Children’s Day festivities in Taiwan.
