Following the opening of its award-winning flagship showroom in South Kensington, luxury fashion house Aristocracy London is expanding its presence in London's museum quarter with a brand new Atelier. The Aristocracy London Atelier is an exclusive space where our Fashion Designer works and meets with customers who want a one-of-a-kind suit.
This project marks the second collaboration between Aristocracy London and architect Andreas Skourtis. A few words from the architect on his creative vision and inspiration:
"Conceived as an exclusive atelier, this project transforms a top-floor space into a fully inhabited studio that reflects the resident fashion designer’s creative vitality while ensuring a luxurious, welcoming environment for clients.
The design narrative revolves around translating the brand’s core identity—its signature navy blue and gold palette—into a spatial experience that is simultaneously theatrical and intimate.
Upon entering, visitors are immersed in a carefully orchestrated sequence of reflections, orchestrated through mirrored surfaces and a gilded, light-reflective ceiling that expands the volume of the space. These elements heighten the sense of drama while also flooding the interior with light, creating a dynamic interplay of illumination and shadow.
A fully equipped kitchenette and a compact yet refined WC with an integrated shower reinforce the dual identity of the atelier as both a place of creative residence and client-facing showroom.
The inclusion of a large-scale botanical mural enriches the atmosphere with calming dark greens, offering a contrast to the gold accents and further broadening the visual language.
Throughout the space, carefully curated details such as bespoke storage solutions, plush textiles, and considered lighting unify comfort with the designer’s creative expression.
The result is a functional, reflective, and artful atelier: a loft that invites clients into the designer’s world and showcases the brand’s ethos through an immersive interplay of color, texture, and light."
