V8 Apartment is a project created for a large family, covering 150 square meters.

Usually focused on public spaces, we approached this personal, family-oriented project with special care.

Our goal was to design an optimized and comfortable environment for a couple with three children, while seamlessly integrating a grand piano — an important part of the family for over a decade.

It was essential to balance communal areas with private retreats. We wanted to create a generous public space where family members could spend time together, as well as private zones for individual activities.

We divided the apartment clearly into two parts: one for the communal area and one for the private bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Part of the bay window was turned into a working corner for the head of the family, with curtains allowing for more privacy when needed.

A central wooden core organizes the space, housing a guest bathroom, wardrobe, and part of the kitchen. It allowed us to structure the layout efficiently and create clear movement flows so that every family member could use the spaces freely and comfortably.

This central element also defines the heart of the home — the living area with a sofa, dining table, and grand piano — a natural gathering place for the family.

The design concept blends classic and contemporary aesthetics. We paired warm natural wood with a sleek stainless-steel kitchen and combined minimalist architectural forms with vintage-inspired furniture and contemporary artworks.

Art became a key element throughout the space. We created a minimalist portrait of the homeowners behind the piano and added colorful smaller works that bring personality and vibrancy to the interior.

In the end, this project is not just about functionality or beauty — it reflects the individuality and values of the people who live here. It shows how contemporary architecture can offer new ways of living for the modern family.
