Many women experience fear and a sense of shame when undergoing gynecological examinations with vaginal endoscopes, often compounded by discomfort caused by poorly designed instruments. In response, our team seeks to develop a more convenient, private, comfortable, and autonomous approach to preliminary gynecological screening—one that reduces psychological stress while encouraging women to take a more proactive role in their personal health care.

To this end, we have optimized the design of a conventional endoscope to support early screening of conditions in the vaginal and cervical areas. The product is ergonomically designed with a 135-degree angled handle, allowing for easy one-handed operation. A fisheye lens is used as the imaging component, enabling the capture of ultra-wide-angle images exceeding 180 degrees without the need for device rotation—greatly reducing the pain often caused by repeated internal movement of traditional endoscopes or speculums.

The product incorporates several refined structural mechanisms to enhance both functionality and user experience. A circular twist-lock mechanism is integrated with a tapered surface in the industrial design, offering clear visual and tactile cues upon assembly while preventing detachment during use. Internally, interlocking concave and convex components—reminiscent of mortise and tenon joints—are combined with a spiral track to precisely transmit rotational force and enable smooth vertical movement. Inspired by the ascent mechanism of a lipstick, the structure allows for upward rotation without the need for mechanical lubricants, ensuring stability and user safety throughout operation.

In parallel, we developed a companion mobile application that connects the smart self-examination device with an AI-powered screening system, providing end-to-end support from self-check to results feedback and follow-up medical assistance. The app features an AI analysis engine and intelligent assistant that process images collected by the home-use device, automatically identify potential abnormalities, and generate health reports—empowering women to manage their health at home with greater ease, privacy, and confidence. The AI agent, powered by large language models, learns and guides user interactions, offering personalized experiences in detection and inquiry. The voice sphere’s fluid 3D form and ice-blue to purple gradient embody intelligence, softness, and a futuristic feel.
