About The Entry

Have you ever looked at a history textbook and felt lost in dates, names, and abstract ideas? Historiq removes those barriers. It is a gamified learning app that makes history visual, interactive, and personal—so learners can focus on stories, not just memorization. By blending structured courses with collectible gameplay, Historiq turns learning into an experience that’s engaging and meaningful.

Learn: Curated Courses, Smarter Study Tools, and Collectible Cards

Historiq offers a growing library of multimedia courses, textbooks, and historical readings. Lessons combine video, text, and audio materials, supported by smart note-taking tools and a connected learning community. As users progress, they earn beautifully illustrated knowledge cards representing historical people, places, ideas, events and artefacts. These collectible cards are more than rewards—they become the interactive memory and building blocks and anchors for the game-based learning that follows.

Play: Narrative Deck and Active Learning

The Play module turns learning into an interactive challenge through the Narrative Deck. In each gameplay, users are presented with a topic—such as an event, figure, or time period—and a hand of earned cards. The goal is to select the most contextually relevant cards to build a narrative deck that best represents the topic, which encourages deeper understanding through contextual problem-solving, narrative thinking, decision-making, and active recall. With each deck challenge, users practice breaking down complex histories into bite-sized, memorable missions. Learning becomes a loop of curiosity, mastery, and creative engagement.

Quiz: Interactive and Visual Learning Experience

The Quiz module helps users test their knowledge through visually-driven, interactive questions. Unlike tedious single-choice questions found in many educational apps, this quiz module offers diverse visual and interactive formats. Users may be asked to identify a mysterious historical figure by selecting the correct card based on a brief description. In other cases, an atlas appears with major historical sites marked, and users must select the correct locations tied to a specific event.

The vision of Historiq is to make history learning an enjoyable experience, encouraging people from all walks of life to appreciate the depth and richness of the past.
