About The Entry

In 2025, Singapore marks its 60th year of independence with the theme “SG60: Building Our Singapore Together,” a year-long national celebration reflecting on the country’s remarkable journey and shared aspirations for the future. At the heart of the festivities is the National Day Parade (NDP), a powerful showcase of unity, heritage, and innovation.

This milestone edition of NDP will be staged at the historic Padang—an iconic site that hosted the first NDP in 1966. For SG60, the event will expand beyond the Padang to activate the entire Marina Bay area, incorporating grand ceremonial displays, aerial showcases, a mobile column, mass performances, and a multi-location fireworks extravaganza that lights up the city skyline.

In a bold step forward for creative innovation, a full-building projection mapping installation is being presented on UOB Plaza One, one of Singapore’s tallest skyscrapers at 280 meters with 66 floors. This installation transforms the tower’s expansive vertical façade into a colossal visual canvas—seamlessly linking Padang and Marina Bay celebration zones through dynamic storytelling and synchronized motion graphics.

As part of a meaningful collaboration with United Overseas Bank (UOB), the projection also commemorates UOB’s 90th anniversary, marking the bank’s legacy as an integral part of Singapore’s growth story. This partnership underscores the shared values of progress, resilience, and national pride.

Visible from across Singapore River and the entire Marina Bay precinct, this installation is powered by a record-breaking number of high-output projectors. The content was rendered at ultra-high resolution—surpassing 8K—to ensure image fidelity and vibrancy at scale. The result is a visually stunning experience with colours and movement that remain crisp and impactful even from great distances.

This projection mapping feat has achieved recognition as one of the largest of its kind ever staged, setting three Guinness World Records: for projection scale, image height, and total illuminated area. It sets a new benchmark for urban storytelling through digital media and architectural illumination.

Together with SG60 celebrations, this initiative highlights Singapore’s enduring commitment to innovation and inclusivity—bringing people together in a shared visual journey that honors six decades of progress and looks boldly toward the future.
