The Yuelongting · Artisan Banquet

This project is located in Rugao City, China, and serves as a Chinese-style private dining space. The spatial environment significantly influences diners' emotions and experiences, with a serene and elegant ambiance being the core focus of this design.

The extensive use of concealed lighting is key to creating the overall atmosphere, mitigating the oppressive effect of direct light and producing a soft, subtle glow. The light, though understated, is ever-present, guiding the diners’ gaze and emotions. This technique enhances spatial depth, contributing to a calm and refined atmosphere.

The interior structural design, particularly the ceiling, adopts bold geometric forms, finished with gray textured paint. The strong, dynamic lines and the raw texture of the materials create a striking contrast with the elegant Chinese-style soft furnishings. Combined with the soft, concealed lighting, they craft a sophisticated ambiance that is both restrained and tasteful. The interplay of strength and softness, restraint and dynamism, tradition and modernity, is skillfully integrated here.

Rather than relying on intricate decorations or expensive materials, the design conveys profound cultural depth and refined taste through minimalist means. The nature of a private banquet venue is well reflected, with privacy effectively preserved, and every detail of the space exudes exclusivity and prestige.
