Purpose of the Event
The Department of Cultural Affairs, Taoyuan organizes the annual “2025 Taoyuan Band Festival” to showcase the city’s wind music talent, promote urban arts and cultural exchange, and advance wind music art.
The “2025 Taoyuan Band Festival” invites Dr. HO, Kang-Kuo
as the curator. Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, the festival adopts “Love and Peace” as its theme, aiming to convey beauty and hope through this musical celebration platform.
The series of events is scheduled from May 30 to June 8, 2025, featuring five large-scale outdoor concerts and one indoor ticketed concert. The international program invites the renowned Japanese conductor Maestro Tatsuya Shimono to lead the highly skilled Hiroshima Wind Orchestra in their first-ever performance in Taiwan. This marks the first indoor ticketed concert in the history of the Taoyuan Band Festival. Additionally, to enrich the diversity of the arts and cultural activities, a small wind music stage and creative market will be set up around the venue. Alongside enjoying live small ensemble wind performances, visitors can also relax and delight in the wide variety of products offered at the music market.
