Rooted in Hangzhou's urban character, where "a millennium of ancient charm blends with modern vitality," this project is a high-end boutique residential development centered on a walkable, multi-level landscape garden inspired by Song Dynasty aesthetics. It integrates regional culture, humanistic narratives, and historical elegance into its landscape, distinguishing it from conventional high-end residential designs while reflecting the poetic pursuit of "elegant, luxurious, and unhurried living" for discerning clientele.

Functionally, the design balances ceremony and practicality, creating a closed-loop spatial layout from public areas to private courtyards. Spaces under the eaves serve as landscape nodes and venues for social gatherings reminiscent of the Song Dynasty. Key functional zones—including incense pavilions, firepit seating nooks, day-to-night café and bar areas, and tea pavilions—merge natural aesthetics with daily leisure. A three-tiered floating corridor in the leisure courtyard provides both viewing and gathering functions, while independent townhouse courtyards emphasize a refined homecoming experience with custom bronze gates inlaid with Song Dynasty jade, standard household nameplates, video intercoms, and mailboxes, blending privacy, convenience, and ceremonial elegance.

Aesthetically, the project conveys refined, understated elegance from overall ambiance to detailed textures. The entrance features a symmetrical arrangement of buildings and landscape walls, a 128-meter landscape façade, a 43-meter-wide main gate, and a "Pine King" black pine atop rock formations, creating a ceremonial entry imbued with order and nobility. Inspired by the Song Dynasty painting Travelers Among Mountains and Streams, the core sunken courtyard includes a three-tiered vertical landscape garden and a 14-meter "flying cascade" waterfall, with cascades and multi-level viewing platforms recreating the ethereal experience of a "pavilion amid suspended mountains." A landscape corridor beneath the eaves revives the "Four Elegances"—incense, flower arrangement, tea, and calligraphy—imbuing the space with cultural depth and experiential quality.

Sustainability is embedded through multi-layered plant and water systems enhancing the microclimate, durable materials such as bronze gates and jade, and artisanal craftsmanship ensuring long-term maintenance resilience. By merging cultural meaning with living scenarios, the landscape functions as both a practical environment and a carrier of heritage, achieving spatial, aesthetic, and spiritual continuity that balances poetic charm with everyday utility.
