Starry Ripples—Geely Galaxy M9’s Intelligent Lighting System

This intelligent vehicle lighting system integrates advanced illumination technology with original design to create a distinctive lighting signature for the brand identity of Galaxy. It is poised to lead the next generation of intelligent automotive lighting.

Drawing inspiration from the Ripple of West Lake and the Galaxy, the headlights bring the “Starry Ripple Aesthetics” to life through sophisticated optical design. The effect evokes a celestial river flowing gracefully across the front of the vehicle, blending a sense of fluid motion with subtle mystery. This lighting design carries forward the DNA of Geely, and embraces a forward-looking vision of mobility, transforming every drive into a poetic starlit journey. Beyond aesthetics, the headlights incorporate three 30×60 mm modules to deliver high-performance illumination together with advanced lighting functions such as the Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) and the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS). This innovative configuration includes an LED low-beam lens module, an adaptive high-beam module featuring a high-resolution Matrix system exceeding 24 pixels, and an auxiliary LED lens module. They work in synergy to provide exceptionally clear and bright visibility, crucial for safe driving at night. Further enhancing versatility, the headlights feature a Traveler Mode that enables instant switching of beam patterns via the Headlamp Control Module (HCM). This allows seamless adaptation between left-hand and right-hand drive configurations—a thoughtful solution engineered for global compliance and real-world convenience.

The design ingenuity continues at the rear, where the taillights employ 540 LEDs to create light-emitting units as small as 1.3 mm. Enhanced by an ingenious structural design of the light guide plates, they form a unique, dynamic 3D “pixel matrix” visual identity, ensuring an unmistakable presence on the road.
