Verdant Embrace

The design of the Verdant Embrace library centers on the core concept of “nature embracing knowledge.” Through fluid spatial planning and layered shades of green, the library creates a forest-like reading environment. Here, books and nature intertwine, making students feel as though they are immersed in an oasis of knowledge, freely exploring and drawing wisdom under the shelter of lush green canopy.



Upon entering the library, one’s eyes are immediately drawn to a vivid aerial scene. The ceiling design ingeniously uses arcs of green and beige lighting fixtures to create an effect reminiscent of a gentle breeze flowing beneath tree branches. These arc-shaped hanging lights trace flowing paths through the space, surrounding the entire library like leaves swaying in the wind. They imbue the space with rhythm and natural energy, offering students a sense of safety and embrace from nature. The overlapping green arcs resemble a soft canopy of shade, making students feel wrapped in the arms of the natural world. Meanwhile, the beige arc lights mimic warm sunlight filtering through leaf gaps, gently illuminating book pages.



The designer hopes this is not just a place for learning but a spiritual oasis where knowledge and nature dance together, nurturing future hope and light. In this environment, students freely explore, sparking creativity and passion, accumulating strength to move forward in life, quietly writing their own chapters of knowledge within the embrace of verdant shade.
