I have an bear abby, it has accompanied me since I was a child. It is not only a carrier of my emotions and a container of memories, but also a way to relieve my anxiety and loneliness in life. So I want to express it through jewelry to bring people a strong sense of security and emotional comfort.

The soft touch of Abby evokes memories of being securely wrapped. By studying the relaxed state of humans, it was found that the body and mind are most relaxed when the skin comes into contact with soft substances. Over the course of extended companionship, Abby becomes frayed and pilling, leading to holes and pilling. Some of the abeibes also became faded and stained.

I plan to transform the fabric into jewelry that carries the temperature of time through fabric transformation, solidify emotional memory within complete textures, and continue the soothing power with tactile language.

Material Choose

I chose a variety of materials with different textures: mesh, linen, pearlescent yarn, satin, wool felt, mesh tubes, colored plastic tubes, etc.

Fabric sewing and Wool felt experiments

Based on the texture of the Abby I researched, I sewed, weaved, and broke the fabric.

Fabric rust dyeing experiment

Soak the fabric in white vinegar mixed water. Then put the rusty iron or iron powder on the fabric or use cloth to wrap the iron utensils. Then put it in the sun to dry.
