About The Entry

This hotel draws inspiration from the rhythm and energy of the two conflicting sides of New York. As the saying goes, “If you love him, send him to New York, for it’s heaven. If you hate him, send him to New York, for it’s hell.” The design captures this duality — the everyday reality of commuting through the gritty subway and the excitement and glamour of Manhattan nightlife.

The concept begins with the sensations of the metro system. Movement, structure, and light from the underground are transformed into a refined expression of modern luxury. The hotel is imagined as a vertical slice of New York itself: the lower levels reference the subway and commuter pathways, while each higher level becomes more polished, more comfortable, and more luxurious.

In the lobby, reflective materials and curved lines create a sense of motion, while elegant details add depth and sophistication. The restaurant continues the narrative with tunnel-like forms, dark tones, and warm lighting inspired by subway platforms and the glow of nighttime Manhattan. The all-day dining lounge elevates the experience further, offering a brighter, more relaxed atmosphere.

The result is a design that blends urban grit with timeless sophistication — transforming the everyday pulse of the city into a memorable and luxurious journey.
